Local Chain Restaurant Rankings. [Liam]
Blogger's "leet" posting thing kept owning my tables, so [CLICK HERE] to pull up my first ever chain restaurant rankings. I'm really hoping to start an argument of some sort with this one. :P

First, I'm slightly disturbed that you've eaten at chain restaurants enough to make esoteric suggestions like: "Don't eat the rice at Chili's." Secondly, how does Denny's not get any props for serving breakfast 27/4?--that's like its only major selling point.
In fact, I personally don't think Denny's should even be on this list, because if you're there and: 1) Not high, 2) Ordering anything that doesn't qualify as breakfast food (or cheese sticks), 3) It isn't between the hours of 12AM-6AM (Exceptions only if you're massively hung over and there isn't an IHOP nearby) 4) Under the age of 65, you've already missed the point.
If Denny's is going to make the list, it at least deserves to be above Applebee's, which has no unique or redeeming qualities whatsoever, and should only be frequented in situations where, say, you're walking past the entrance and just happen to be seized by diabetic shock.
My final thought: Find a good local sports bar and get your burgers and drinks there.
Applebee's > Denny's.

First off, we're talkin' food, so aside from a quick sidenote, the "27/4" (sic :-P) availability doesn't really qualify them as being a better place to eat. Nor do greasy seats, or a documented tendency to force people of color to pay before being served.
I'm not arguing that Applebee's is a bomb restaraunt. They do, in fact suck. The key thing here is that item for item they suck less than Denny's, which features cafeteria food coated with grease solely to facilitate the swallowing process.
That being said, these chain restaraunt rankings are a work in progress (and input is encouraged!!!!!1111). It's very possible that someday a chain will unseat Denny's as the suck champion (among chain restaraunts I think this is probably the most prestigious and difficult-to-reach position on the list, since best chain is like tallest dwarf or smartest GW supporter), but Applebee's just doesn't have what it takes. :o(
Basically, anytime I eat anything from Denny's...I think I can actually hear the blood flow in my heart decreasing as fat and cholestral form. That aside, I think Denny's offers the best portion and best tasting milk shake around...at least Strawberry wise, can't speak for the others. That said they are also quite racist and dirty during their pre-50's diner redesigned look (hope you know what I am talking about, because not all Denny's went throught a cosmetic change).
You need to add IHOP, Carrows, Baker's Square to the mix...
My quick mix:
IHOP: WTF is so international about it? Why are the fucking pancakes so small?
Carrows = Denny's with slightly better stuff
Baker's Square: The hippest place for after Sunday sermons or if you want to hang out with a bunch of old folks. But pancake combo = godly portion

WTF? Do the munchies you satisfy at these "restaraunts" (sic) come from smoking teh crack? Chili's >> Friday's in any sane ranking system.
BATTLE CHICKEN SAMMICH.
Friday's "chicken sammich": The big-ass bun pwnz the grilled nugget inside. It's kinda ok if you can't decide between a chicken sammich or mouthfuls of mayo and lettuce cause you get about 50% of each.
Chili's "Chicken Ranch" sammich: Tastes better and actually fills you up, if only because you ate so much damn onion blossom beforehand. Extra points for being named after a prominent Nevada brothel. Chili's am win.
Chili's also costs less. I would have given Friday's some props for having Marzen on tap, but apparently Chili's does too, so Friday's just loses completely.
Also, you need to check Carrows out as a place that can challenge Denny's for the suck championship. I'm pretty sure the food is worse and the service is even slower. Carrows' sole "weakness" is that they actually close, which prevents them from sucking 24 hours a day.
