name all your friends! but can you name all the u.s. presidents? well, WHY NOT?!??
if the first amendment was a popular and funny television show aired ad infinitum and could be mined for an endless supply of jokes and inside references for every purpose of your every day life, well then i can see how we'd remember it better. but it's not. that's why we have the simpsons.
so it's really not all that surprising.
