Scotchland Yarg [Liam]

Ramble time.

From Wikipedia:
Martial Race was a designation created by officials of British India. The British officials described these races as naturally warlike and aggressive in battle, and to possess qualities like courage, loyalty, self sufficiency, physical strength, resilience, orderliness, hard working, fighting tenacity and Military tactics. The British recruited heavily from these Martial Races for service in the colonial army.

British declared martial races [13] (listed below):

* Awans
* Balochs
* Cheema
* Garhwalis
* Gujars
* Gurkhas
* Jats
* Kurups
* Marathas
* Nairs
* Nambiars
* Pashtuns
* Rajputs
* Sikhs
* Scottish LOL
* Zulus

It takes something special to have other white people include you in their racist theories.
I've been drinking a lot of scotch these past few months, and it's probably a good explanation for my notoriously belligerent defensive tactics in the Super Mario Strikers (soccer) competitions of the apartment (for that matter my Koopa Troopas are likely a "Martial Race" subjugated by Donkey Kong for military service).

On the topic of Scotch I was hoping to have a better understanding of the different varieties produced by the different isles, but it seems the majority of what's readily available is from the "Speyside" regional designation.

I have become a Laphroaig fan, which is a smokey, peaty Islay malt... Mel made fun of it and said it smelled like band-aids. Apparently this is because Mel has a crazy mutant across-the-room palette powers, because wiki has this to say about Islay characteristics:

The distilleries on the south of the island, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg, have the strongly peaty character which is thought of as being so characteristic of the Islay malts, and is ascribed to both the water from which the whisky is made as well as the malting of the barley. Many describe this as a "medicinal" flavour. They also possess notes of iodine, seaweed and salt.

wowsers.

Laphroaig tastes like a liquid smokey link. It shouldn't taste good but it does. I also like smokey links.
