A couple of weeks ago I saw Gran Turino and Up within a day of each other.
It's a weirdly appropriate pairing of movies.
Gran Turino: Old man with life regrets, finds redemption in helping young Asian boy. Solid comic relief. Some emotionally charged moments.
Up: Old man with life regrets, finds redemption in helping young Asian boy. Less comic relief. Crazy, crazy emotional roller coaster.
(Dude I'm not the only who cried multiple times in this cartoon.)
I thought they were both really good.
