Chain Restaraunt+ Comments- Comments
TGIFriday'simo cream of the chain foodery crop. Carries a similar menu to its weaker cousins, but with a slightly higher standard for quality and presentation. Mainstays of chicken sammich, burger, steak, etc are less generic though not enough to make you think you're at a real restaraunt. Also best bar hands down among the chains. Truly the Jack/Carl's Jr. of this tier.Prices reflect the small increases in presentation and quality. Extra couple bucks on the tab push TGIF close to the threshold occupied by real restaraunts, a much more competitive bracket.
Chili'sWidely available. Has occasional "Special Item" ownage like Awesome Blossom. Has bar, usually equipped with GB Marzen around here.Sandwiches ok, avoid entrees. Especially /w/ rice. OMG avoid the rice.
Applebee'sSeemingly diverse menu, fairly safe bet for indecisive group. Decent booze selection, can get a bigger glass of draft here than @ Chili's i think...Do NOT push the high end of the menu. U.S.S. Porterhouse is a grey rubber flavor-injected steak trap. Also, Applebee's has creepy tendency to kiss ass of local HS population in wall memorabilia
Denny'sOpen late. Reminds me of high school.Food is SUCK CHAMPION. Greasy. Only "Super Bird" holds it down, and occasional post-binge breakfast skillets.
